Re: Studies note effects of in-utero steroid shots on babies - The Voodoo EffectFrom: Robert J. Carpenter, Jr. MD, JD (zygote@icsi.net)Sun Sep 30 19:37:55 2007
El, It is good that when VOODOO is presented that it be discussed and promptly put in the rubbish heap. Wapner's article continues to milk data from a prematurely stopped study that was poorly designed and had the wrong end points for significance. If they recognized that themselves, then they would have to accept the fact that they have wasted much $$$$. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
