I don't think there is any EBM to make a real difference. (George Morely: A difference to BE a difference must MAKE a difference.)

As I recall the pathologists at our hospital here in Keene looked thoroughly at ThinPrep and the SurePath and decided on the SurePath for cost reasons.

I would be really surprised if this newer one (PapSure) is truly "better".

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
