I had thought about doing that before I bought my colposcope. At the end, I decided not to do it. Besides possibly losing the details to the limited pixels of the screen, I didn't want to risk having to explain to my patients why I would put a camcorder in front of her private parts. Either way, it's an "image" issue. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
