Re: Fascinating CaseFrom: Dr. John Provatopoulos B.Sc. M.D.C.M. F.R.S.C. (johnprov@sympatico.ca)Mon Sep 24 16:11:04 2007
Classic case of chasing your own tail, ; History and Physical still make the diagnosis 90% of the time. In the last month I have had three E.R. docs call me for ovarian abcesese on CAT scan, all three women had had previous Total hysts more than five years ago. Well two were chronic ruptured appendicies and one was a chrons abcess. The one with Chron's had a history of chrons, the ones with ruptured appedecies had RLQ pain , but the CAT scan said it was an ovarian abcess doc.

Take care, John

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
