Studies note effects of in-utero steroid shots on babies

Repeated corticosteroid injections in women at risk for preterm labor do not
appear to harm their babies in the long run, two separate studies revealed.
However, one of the studies found that infants could be exposed to a
"non-significant but an increased risk" for cerebral palsy. Researchers emphasize
that steroid shots are not bad for pregnant women at risk for preterm birth, but
should be used "selectively."
