Same experience, many times....and then, and then along came some very severe reactions. Local gyn oncologist then shared with me the number of inquiries and referrals she'd experienced with adhesive scarring from other docs as well. Dr. K is certainly to be respected, but once burned, twice shy.

A few patients were miserable with vulvar burning when it ran out of the vagina, but I never saw any long-term sequelae from it. It is recommended for use for vaginal Condyloma by Kaufman in “Benign diseases of the vulva and vagina,” the bible for vulvar diseases.

Re: Has anyone hear of using aldara cream to treat cervical high risk HPV? I understand it can only be used in genital warts.

Anyone remember the vogue of using 5FU for vaginal condyloma? After a few published papers it took off like a rocket...came back to earth after the collection of follow up reports of severe vaginal burns, adhesions, ulcerations, etc.
