I might add to this by saying that many of the doula's hired at the hospitals in the Denver area speak another language, mostly Spanish, so that women who don't speak English can know what is happening re: hospital procedures as well as having a supportive person at their sides. Louana

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
