It´s hard to know how any of us might behave, faced with the loss of a much loved spouse in such a case. It´s also likely that anyone faced with a lawsuit is happy to find an attorney to hire for defense.
And yes, some deaths can´t be prevented. But if our government agency charged with recording them all doesn´t manage to do that, how can we know that preventible deaths aren´t happening. And when we live in a time when the rate goes up, how can we be sure this is due to better reporting?
