"Nerve Entrapment"

First, thank y'all for your comments on the nerve entrapment question. Y'all remain the voice of reason for me.

My partner and I share the same questions raised. Neither of us are really sure what you would do when you would take a patient back to the OR for this "symptom" (notice EL that I used "symptom" rather than "diagnosis"). Apparently, they took the two patients back to the OR, took down the incisional repair and re-did it. Obviously, the question is, upon re-closing, how would you know. The fascial incision is what it is and certainly needs to be closed - maybe interrupted fascial closure???

Certainly glad to hear that nobody here has followed the path observed in these cases.

Lynn

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
