36 weeks, take-home baby (very low risk of NICU admission) with escalating hypertension despite fairly high doses of antihypertensives. About 25% of chronic hypertensives get superimposed preeclampsia and often you don't know where to draw the line between worsening chronic hypertension vs. preeclampsia, but this patient is on 2 meds. I'm all the way in Orlando, but if I listen carefully, I can just hear the baby saying......"let me out." :) Best wishes,

Ashley

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
