Re: Insurance (long)

Robert my friend with an MBA:

In this environment of stable or decreasing reimbursement, and increasing overhead (cost of living, malpractice, HIPAA, etc.) it seems foolish NOT to maximize reimbursement.

I wish that the insurance carriers would pay fairly based on proper coding with proper modifiers; if they did, then we would do everything at one visit, and get paid properly for it.

I am sorry for the patient's inconvenience, but must pay the employees and keep the lights on.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
