Thanks for the replies so far. I should have explained that this is not a postpartum lady. How often do perforations happen in someone not recently pregnant? It's usually due to inexperience of the operator also? I thought that the consent says that one understands that this could happen when inserting it. I don't know what type of IUD it was.
