The only problem with Small Claims Court, at least in NY, is that if your practice is incorporated, the corporation must be represented by an attorney. So in NY, most use collection agencies.

I know that in the neighboring state of Virginia one can obtain a debtor's lien relativelly expeditiously and that such liens usually ultimatilely result in debt recovery. (IE, when the sale of real estate, or application for a mortgage or other credit intrument is pursued and the lien needs settlement before those processes can go through.)

I have been advised this state has no such useful resource for small business owners. I intend to obtain additional legal opinion, but if someone has a recommended source, or useful general info, it would be appreciated.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
