Re patinet accounts that have failed to respond to requests to work with the practice manager: the business manager has used two collection agencies, with varying degrees of success. I know that in the neighboring state of Virginia one can obtain a debtor's lien relativelly expeditiously and that such liens usually ultimatilely result in debt recovery. (IE, when the sale of real estate, or application for a mortgage or other credit intrument is pursued and the lien needs settlement before those processes can go through.) Do any listers have experience with liens, and attoryneys, in North Carolina that has proved useful? Off list replies would be appreciated. I have been advised this state has no such useful resource for small business owners. I intend to obtain additional legal opinion, but if someone has a recommended source, or useful general info, it would be appreciated. Thanks Hank

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
