Re: casual research questionFrom: RModugno@aol.comFri Jun 29 16:00:02 2007

Like---"I want to help women overcome the horrible pain of birth" or maybe something more subtile than that, but you get the drift. Or, I wondered about the financial reasons for becoming an OB especially given that, as a midwife, I understand the history of the tension between medicine and midwifery to be a competition for money and territory. Anyway--for the others out there---willing to respond to the original question? Louana Gee Louana, sorry to disappoint you about the paternalism;+) Robert Modugno MD MBA FACOG Sylva, NC

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
