Moore is an excellent filmmaker, but he often overstates. His barbs at the US Health Insurance Industry, however, hit the mark. Moore's significant obesity is further indication of the failure of the US Healthcare system. It seems the elephant in the room really IS Michael Moore. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
