As noted, a fascinating study...however, I'd have suggested noting that VBAC is also associated with 17 cases of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy to zero for repeat CS in that major trial....a small percent, which probably matters only if someone's working in the USA with its current tort system approach to adverse events. But, wasn't one of those cases a thirteen million dollar judgment, before appeal, in one of our state's? Would be nice if we had the medical equivalent of maritime law and courts, and I hope the current discussions happening grow into something achievable over the long term. ('course, we're all dead in the long term, :-) )

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
