Re: 17 oh progesteroneFrom: Raymond Stephen (stephen.raymond@dhhs.tas.gov.au)Fri Jun 8 19:45:43 2007
There is no evidence that progestagen therapy benefits any pregnancy. The most one might do for this lady is to put in a cerclage at 16-18 weeks, and even that would be debatable. I would like to know as well whether she has Bacterial Vaginosis. Finally #3 more delivered second baby at 34 weeks following PROM. Do you think it is inappropriate to manage them with weekly 17 OH-P at 18 weeks etc?? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
