I want to interview you about Managed CareFrom: Ariel Fishman (af2009@columbia.edu)Fri Jun 8 10:09:20 2007
Hi, I am a Columbia University graduate student writing a paper on physician reactions to managed care. I would like to interview a number of physicians who would be willing to talk to me for about fifteen minutes about how managed care has affected the way they practice medicine. Key questions I would like to discuss are as follows: 1) Describe your employment background. Do you/Have you worked for a single-specialty practice? Multi-specialty practices? Do you/have you worked for a medical organization? A for-profit, or non-profit hospital? An academic medical center? Are you or have you been self-employed? Have you been paid on salary? 2) Describe how the economics of the healthcare industry has affected how you practice medicine. How have changes such as these affected your personal income? Has it caused you to work more? Work less? 3) Describe your involvement in clinical activity associated with new drug development. Have you conducted clinical trials? When did you first get involved in clinical trials? If you are willing to volunteer a few minutes of your time to speak with me, please contact me at af2009@columbia.edu . I will arrange a time to call you on the phone. Thank you very much,
-- Ariel Fishman New York, NY

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
