I think the good ol' boys' club at ACOG and ABOG are almost one and the same and they cannot remember what constituency they are supposed to serve (i.e. their constituencies are NOT the same). In this age of evidence-based medicine, there's also no evidence that ANY of this (certification, recertification, ABC, computerized exams, etc.) works in the first place to protect the public from poor clinical practices!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
