Re: Mg for preeclampsiaFrom: Henry Gregor (henrygregor@yahoo.com)Thu May 17 11:12:56 2007
Unencumbered by recent lit search, I do recall more than one published report noting the propensity to progress to seizures was not necessarily related to magnitude of BP elevation...ie. most lists of actual eclamptic patients had large percentages - in some series, majorities - of patients with bp's in the mild toxemia range...however, that doesn't speak to what LFT's, proteinurea, etc. had been. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
