Re: Postmenopausal pelvic free fluidFrom: Andrew Folley (agfolley@hotmail.com)Tue May 8 19:41:12 2007
I am not certain what the significance of peritoneal fluid would be in this lady??? I would be inclined to wait and watch recheck echo in 3 to 6 months or at most do an office culdecentesis looking at the fluid for cytololgy and protein level etc. It seems like laparoscopy might be doing too much at this point. agf

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
