Me too, but I think we might be long gone before history can tell us what finally resulted....although a positive attitude to do some good only goes so far if there isn't a second party receptive to something beneficial to all concerned. You know, kinda' like in the Mideast where one side seems to offer concession after concession without, IMHO, any conciliatory response from the other. Yes, the US should try to protect the people of Iraq. It has tried,
and one would not contest that argument can be made it has stumbled in
its efforts. And yet, it did enter into its involvement with objectives
more honorable, say, than that of Germany when it unleashed
devastation, death and horror on thte Nama and Herero people that the
Herero Peoples Restoration Corporation has labeled a genocide presaging
that of the Holocaust. .....perhaps a saving grace of the US is its
long history of conciliation and generous assistance to parties with
which it once was at war...you know, Japan, Germany, etc. I think the
general good will of the people of the US will find a way to create
something positive out of the present troubles.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
