Yes there are some malpractice or similar options that do cover it. I actually just had Dr. Eisenstein from _http://www.homefirst.com_ (http://www.homefirst.com) , 30 years in practice and I think seven other physicians that practice with him. He said that they actually have a contract with Blue Cross(HMO). The billing is no different than hospital birth as far as coding, just the code for location. I am considered out of network on the PPO plans but it is covered.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
