There is a large homebirth practice here in Illinois in the Chicago area. It is called Homefirst. It's actually a bunch of family docs and CNM's. Don't know if they have any OB's on staff, but they do have a website and have been up and running for years, so might be a good info source for the nuts and bolts of running a homebirth practice.

Change of subjects. Any CNM's coming to Chi next month for the ACNM convention?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
