Does "patient`s demand" means that we must/should/will accept it ??????? What if a given nuligravid patient, develops PID???? Are the ones who accept to insert IUD on mulis, clear enough describing method`s risks BEFORE doing it????? I`ve never accepted to insert them on nulis. I have removed non merina's , from the culde suc probably perforated through the posterioir lower uterine segment, fundus perforated but not through the serosa and uterosacral ligaments. They were removed when doing laproscopy for pain/infertility, I usually found varring degrees of scarring. Have also found them by the diaphram and sitting in omentum. If They perforate at insertion but not nessarily completely they will often just tent the serosal peritenium. Severe cramping durring inserstion is non specific I usually order an ultrasound and have yet to see a perforation. I hate inserting then in nuligravids but they have become so popular I have had patients demand them.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
