As a general rule foreign bodies, that enter the peritoneal cavity, migrate to the LUQ. The copper bearing ones usually cause enough adhesions to stop this, but if there aren't many adhesions, that is where I would expect to find a Mirena. Many years ago, I removed a Plastic banana from the left upper quadraant of a patient who had insertit through the cul-de-sac during sexual activity. Dan

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
