condyloma in pregnancy

Have a G1PO patient now in her 16th week of pregnancy with multiple condyloma in vagina. Initially planned to use TCA when lesions were few and smaller but she refused. Now, lesions have increased in size and number and she wants them removed. Am thinking of doing electrocautery under low spinal anesthesia as this will give adequate exposure and can be done in just one session. She may not tolerate and may not comply with repeated clinic visits for the TCA application. Would electrocautery pose any serious risk for the pregnancy? thanks for your opinions and suggestions.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
