Manhattan is NOT NY State ... NYC has a glut ... the rest of the state
a shortage. Manhattan is a special case also in that many OB's do NOT
participate in managed care. In the other boros, where most of the
working stiffs live, OB's have little choice BUT to take insurance.
Suffice it to say, Manhattan is NOT representative of NY State as a
whole.
