Yes indeed. I do this all the time with my patients.

If they have a mail in prescription plan I write for "4 packs for 3 months treatment: 12 weeks of active pills" - and write that she is taking them continuously for medical reasons. (I don't write weather it is for endometriosis or just for only having 2-4 menses per year).

For those that do not have mail in plans I write that she has to be refilled every 3 weeks (she then pays way more # of copays than any man would pay for 12 months supply) but she can get it every three weeks for "continuous medical treatment" under most insurance plans. But the mail in is the best.
