Re: A Vaccine to Save Women's LivesFrom: Kim E. Goldman (goldman@calweb.com)Wed Feb 7 17:42:32 2007
What business is it of the governor of Texas to prevent cervical cancer? And if you want to prevent that portion of it that is caused by the four strains of HPV that this vaccine allegedly provides protection for, why not vaccinate both sexes. Again it is difficulty, though not impossible, to transfer HPV from female to female and certainly far less common than M-->F and F-->M transmission. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
