Good call, Andrew. It's doubtful that such a good result could have been achieved with a stat section, given the situation.

I was taught internal podalic version by a family physician for twin B (when necessary) back in '73. I couldn't have predicted then that I would live in a time when obstetricians would no longer be taught this skill, considered essential for so many centuries.

Are there any other professions that have discarded the teaching of core skills to new entrants? I can't think of one.

Some countries are reviewing this trend (Czech Republic, Iceland and maybe some more Scandinavian countries, for instance). I wish we could here.
