I am registered for the ABC - I first certified in 1987 - took the written recert in 1997 and now have to start the ABC. They have my address and never have sent me anything - I have been the one to contact them.

Interesting that to register to take the ABE you have to sign a statement that says your Board Certification is not to be required for credentialing or something like that (it is on my desk at work) yet the hospital year requires you to be board Certified within the time fram specified by your board ... I found that very interesting.

I am now waiting for the list of articles etc.

I know that some of youare doing the ABC already - when do they send out the list of articles and exam forms?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
