What I have found is that 80% of primips will ask me at about 36 weeks if they will deliver vaginally, or by c-section. The average age is probably 17. And mostly newly arrived, monolingual spanish. It seems so odd to me. I don't remember getting this question in private practice. I guess it is in response to what they see in their communities back home. We often have people with previous sections who have no idea why they had a section, or because they passed their due date without labor. Sad. Ingrid Gold, CNM Phoenix

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
