America is, according to all accounts, a "fat" nation, the population of which scarfs down millions of pounds (or should I say Calories?) of fast food, slow food, diet food and ethnic food (including E. coli laced Taco Bell) per day. The American waistline (or should I say "gut") grows with each passing New Year. French fries, tripple burgers, supersized sandwiches, extra "value" meals and all are consumed with the vigor of a starving Tyrannosaurus Rex. Yet somehow, for some reason, our esophagi are getting so attenuated that we cannot swallow a small pill? Go figure. Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
