Office Novasure & essureFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Thu Nov 30 19:53:16 2006
Tomorrow (Friday) I am going to a nearby office in Greenfield, MA to observe how they have their office set up and see them do an office Novasure and and office Essure. I am hoping to figure how to work both of those into my office practice. A while ago there was the quesiton about who was doing some of these in office. Talking with another gynecologist totaly not involved with this right now and she was saying "Why do an Essure when you can put in a Paragard or a Mirena and have efficacy that is just as good as an Essure - but have it cost a whole lot less" I thought it was a good argument - but it is one of those funny things - there are women who love the idea of the Essure but bring up the IUD and they act like a vampire just came in and they are warding you off!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
