Well then, forgive me, is that why it's alright to discredit the midwives--easier than taking on some real changes? The history of medicine in the United States has been one that has shown itself to be very effective when it comes to discrediting other healing modalities and practitioners. I would challenge the community to stand up for itself and become cohesive in the area of reimbursement and malpractice. Louana

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
