This is why I came here asking the questions I did about the statement (motivation in particular at this time history), but was politely (and not so politely) told to keep my mouth shut like a good mid-level practitioner should. I wanted to know how, outside of a legislative hearing which is naturally confrontational, to work with the hospital-based world of practitioners. I thought of and observed this email list as a round table discussion on a myriad of subjects and didn't expect midwives to be outside the scope of conversation with regard to how we either do or do not work with each other (and how to fix or improve relations).

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
