Re: What do you wear to work WAS When Young Doctors Strut Too MuchFrom: Charlie Chambers (ricechaz@earthlink.net)Wed Nov 22 09:55:11 2006

I think that there are definitely regional preferences. I live in a smallish resort town where casual is the norm. I genereally wear slacks with a shirt w/ a collar. Haven't worn a tie in quite some time. I do think that in my area, a white coat and/or tie would serve as a barrier.

-----Original Message-----
From: Lynn Montgomery <APGAR10@QWEST.NET>
Sent: Nov 22, 2006 5:29 AM
To: Multiple recipients of list OB-GYN-L <OB-GYN-L@DNS.OBGYN.NET>
Subject: RE: What do you wear to work WAS When Young Doctors Strut Too Much of Their Stuff

<ZZZHTML xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:w="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml"><ZZZHEAD><ZZZMETA content="text/html; charset=us-ascii" http-equiv="Content-Type"><ZZZMETA name="Generator" content="Microsoft Word 11 (filtered medium)"> </ZZZHEAD><ZZZBODY lang=EN-US vlink="purple" link="blue">

What do others wear in private practice? <?xml:namespace prefix = o />

Havent worn a lab coat since finishing residency 18 years ago. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
