Are you THE Ricky Onetto who did a fellowship with EC Hamblen at Duke in the fifties(??) at Duke? Or are you related to him? His fellowship was in endocrine and infertility and I believe he was from Chile.

I am unaware of the use of BBT and the Diagnosis of endometriosis in the adolescent. Most recommend the birth control pill as a first step. If they are symptomatically better, who cares about the diagnosis. An alternative is LuPron rather than laparoscopy. It costs less than lap/scope in the US. And lupron Therapy is the treatment even if you find endometriosis..superior to cautery of implants etc. Sam Atkinson-Brody School of Medicine

Would like to know of Md`s using BBT recording for an early diagnosis of adolescent endometriosis, thus avoiding a great number of Normal laparoscopies. For more information see: http://www.obgyn.net/ardo/articles/onetto_bio.htm or go to http://www.obgyn.net and make a search for onetto. Looking forward to hearing from you. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
