Joe C Joe, I meant to add to my reply but sent it too soon: I did not want to "debate" the virtues of birth place, merely discuss it as Lynn pointed out in her thoughtful reply. Why are the BMJ and birth center studies so easily dismissed by ACOG? I would appreciate the education and insight of anyone willing to answer.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
