Re: Judge to Weigh .5M Legal Fee in Blue Cross Class Action SettlementFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Sat Nov 4 07:43:54 2006
Art, You are so correct. If we are going to eventually have a single payor system - and we have ideas that are not in sync with the insurance industry (their mantra being lets have bigger profits so we can buy more yachts and houses etc) then we docs need to have a group that sits as a think tank to devise something that is truly in the best interests of both the patients and doctors and providers of care. The current system is in the best interest of the insurance companies, the pharmaceutical companies and the stockholders of those groups. I am sure Ileft something out. Is there a Doctor-provider-patient group ready to tackle that? Joanne just my opinion

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
