In France Residency : 5 years in which at least 2 years of OB-GYN and 2 years of surgery, plus or minus endocrinology etc... Options or subspecialization are optional and done actually in fellowship. A short option, specific to France exists for medical gyns (nos surgery and 4 years). Nowadays in public hopsitals every doctor has to go back home after a night shift (36 uninterrupted hours) Too much residents, too short duration of work in the week as regards to our 70 to 80 hours a week.

The more you work night and day, the more you learn. BC

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
