Mother Agrees to Settle Malpractice Suit Over Failed Abortion A mother whose son was born with physical and mental impairments after a botched abortion has agreed to a $4.1 million settlement. The plaintiff's medically recommended abortion failed when she wasn't given an adequate dose of an abortion drug. The mishandled procedure will cost the doctors $300,000 for the mother and $3.8 million for her impaired son. Anthony M. Destefano, Newsday 09/20/2006 Read Article: Newsday Joe P.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
