My point is management - I often see patients who are fully dilated and without any urge to push - I just wait till they have the urge to bear down - that may last one hour - even then if the presenting part is still at 0 I don't encourage coached pushing - descent occurs a bit slower but they do not become tired and there are some papers out there suggesting less perineal trauma, less abnormal tracings - Ef

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
