Re: One layer uterine closureFrom: Richard Chudaoff (rchudacoff@mylinuxisp.com)Tue Sep 5 16:12:37 2006
Does anyone use Monocryl for hysterotomy closure? Personally I like this suture the best. It doesn't tear like Vicryl. Another good reason for using Vicryl is the availability of blunt tip needles for C/S - I'm not aware that is even available for Chromic. I do use 0 Plain for Pomeroy TLs, but I rarely do Pomeroys since I began using Filshie Clips. Ronald E. I'm sorry but this may violate the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" aphorism. Art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
