Re: Introducing Xpert GBSTM (TM)From: ainsron (ainsron@sbcglobal.net)Tue Aug 29 11:31:32 2006
I can see that being potentially useful at an institution with a high proportion of unknown GBS patients, i.e., patients who present in labor with no care or at a tertiary care center with many patients presenting in labor prior to 35-36 weeks. At a community hospital with everyone doing cultures routinely at 35-36 weeks, it wouldn't pay for itself. Here's the link to their website: " http://obgyn.net/ads/url.cfm?http://www.cepheid.com/gbs " Ronald E. Has anybody heard of it and does naybody have any information about it.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
