I was going to say something similar.

WHY, oh, WHY would someone CHOOSE to go to a Malaria-endemic area while purposefully trying to get pregnant? Doesn't make much sense -- at least it wouldn't to Spock.

As el says, you can make a case for never going there at all, just due to the widespread malaria. The pregnancy (or intended pregnancy) makes it all the more ... uh ... dumb.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
