Apologies for being off ob/gyn.

A very dear friend of mine has been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma. It is in a vein in her groin and cannot be operated on. Very little is known about it here.

The tumour, which she has had for a year, has spread to her abdomen and she is about to undergo chemotherapy. She's been give a survival rate of just 20%.

Her partner (work) is prepared to pay for her to travel anywhere for the best treatment possible. So, do any of you know of anywhere in the States where this type of cancer has been treated successfully. Or where we can start looking.

Thank you so much.

Gail

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
