DepoProvera for vasomotory symptomsFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Tue Aug 8 11:49:08 2006
A patient brought in a women's magazine commentary - that a "single dose" of DMPA wil significantly reduce the vaosmotor symptoms - and that the hot flashes will stay away. I have done a bit of a serch and com up with severl articles that mention it - but none that say the dose. So - are any of you using DMPA? Of so - how much and how often ? Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
